INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup olive oil,
2 cups basil,
1/2 cup chopped walnuts,
2cloves chopped garlic,
1/2 tsp salt, and
1 lemon

I made this today.
It was “okay”. I love garlic and I used two large garlic cloves. It seemed too “thin” to me. Hubby liked it though. Also … 1/3 cup of oil is kind of a lot. Although the recipe did make about 1.5 cups of sauce. I varied the recipe by garnishing it with tomatoes. You could also use red pepper. I think it looks better with some red added. My amendment with tomatoes added for garnish
So … I went online and found another Basil Pesto recipe with no oil added.
It gets its “bulk” from white beans. I’ll try that next and let you know.
