Hard boiled Eggs and how to make them. You might be thinking “are you kidding me, any fool can make a hard boiled egg”. Yes and no! Yes anyone can boil an egg, but I never knew that if you overboil an egg it will develop that unappetizing green ring around the yolk. What we want is a pale yellow and white egg and there’s a fool proof way to achieve that. How? Put a generous amount of water in the pan to cover the eggs. Allow for about 2″ of water over the eggs. Bring to a boil. When the water boils, turn off the heat, cover the eggs set a timer for 14 minutes. At the end of 14 minutes you will have perfectly cooked eggs.
Easiest way to peel. After the 14 minutes, pour off the boiled water and then IMMEDIATELY immerse them in cool (doesn’t have to have ice) water. It can be water just from the tap. Just let them sit in the water a minute or two, and then peel them. The shell should peel right off.
Viola!
